GVB Buses
These buses mainly operate within the city of Amsterdam. GVB Bus 18, for instance, travels between Amsterdam Centraal and Slotervaart in the west of the city. GVB Bus 21 goes to Geuzenveld, and Bus 22 to Spaarndammerbuurt.
Night Buses
GVB also operates night buses that service various areas of the city when the regular buses, trams, and metros stop running. They typically operate once an hour between 0:30 and 7:00
Regional Buses
Buses operated by other companies like Connexxion and EBS run services from Amsterdam Centraal to other cities and towns in the region. For instance, EBS buses go towards Purmerend, Volendam, and Edam.
